There are many providers. What can we be compared to?
We are unique in our combination of one-time costs, high quality, and excellent service, making us difficult to compare with companies that operate with mandatory monthly fees. These companies may offer an alarm system, but often with long contracts, higher long-term costs, and systems that are easily disrupted by jammers.

With us, you’re done in one go and can use the system indefinitely without a subscription. Note: all subscription-based alarm systems (which rely on wireless signals) are vulnerable to jamming, meaning they always offer insufficient protection.
What are the most common mistakes people make when choosing between alarm providers?
– Not properly checking the actual costs after the promotional period.
– Being persuaded by pushy salespeople with falsehoods about control rooms or direct police connections.
– Forgetting that monthly costs can increase every year.
– Not realizing that many systems become unusable once payments stop.
– Entering poorly cancellable, often long-term contracts.
– Failing to research the quality of the system (outdoor siren, jamming safety, etc.).
Can I have an alarm system installed in my rental property?
Yes, our system can be installed without drilling or structural changes and is easy to relocate. This is ideal for renters who want to secure their home without making permanent modifications.
Why do some security companies offer a “free” alarm system?
Nothing is truly free. With providers promising a “free” system, you pay through an expensive subscription that can cost thousands of euros over the years. With us, you’re done in one payment, with no hidden costs.
Is Hikvision a reliable brand?
Yes, Hikvision is the world’s largest manufacturer of security systems and is used by governments, businesses, and individuals. The brand is known for its innovative technologies, high reliability, and certifications such as EN 50131 Grade 2.
Why should I choose an alarm system without a control room?
An alarm system without a control room gives you direct control over your home’s security. You receive real-time notifications on your phone, without the delay and monthly costs of an external party.

📌 Installation & Operation

How does your alarm system work?
Our alarm systems use advanced motion sensors, cameras, and magnetic contacts. They can be connected to your smartphone via a secure app. The system can feature indoor detection, outdoor detection, or a combination of both, depending on your preferences.
Can I install the alarm system myself?
We recommend professional installation for optimal performance and safety. Our technicians ensure expert placement and configuration so your system works perfectly from the start.
How long does the installation take?
Usually between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the type of system and the size of the property. For an apartment with only indoor detection, it can take 30 to 60 minutes, while a detached villa with outdoor detection and cameras may take 2 to 4 hours.
What connection is required for the alarm system?
The central unit (hub) requires power and a working wired internet connection. If you don’t have fixed internet, a SIM card can be used. Even with fixed internet, we recommend a SIM card as a backup in case of sabotage.
What happens during a power outage?
The hub has a 16-hour backup battery. During this period, the system continues to function normally. Once power is restored, the battery automatically recharges.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Internet outages are immediately reported to your smartphone. The system continues to function normally, and with a SIM card as a backup, notifications are still sent. Without a SIM card, you’ll only receive a notification that the internet is down. The siren will always sound during a break-in, even without power or internet.
There’s no internet available yet, can the system still be installed?
Absolutely. With a SIM card, the system can function fully without a fixed internet connection.
Do cats or other pets affect the alarm system?
No. Our motion sensors are pet-friendly and distinguish small animals from humans. Cats and other small pets can move freely while the alarm is activated.
How do I operate the alarm system?
You can control the alarm system via your smartphone, a remote control, a keypad, or a tag reader. The number of users is unlimited, so every family member can have their own access.
Very well-known security companies in Europe claim that an outdoor siren isn’t legally allowed. Is this true?
Officially, it’s not permitted due to noise pollution regulations, but it’s widely accepted across Europe that homes have outdoor sirens. In Spain, over 80% of homes have an outdoor siren. This is the most effective way to quickly scare off an intruder.
Is there a chance of false alarms that could cause an outdoor siren to create a disturbance?
We guarantee that our outdoor detection system doesn’t cause unwanted alerts. Should an alarm go off, we’ll come to your location if needed to resolve the issue or explain why it was triggered (e.g., a parasol or cloth in the wind).

Our outdoor sensors are designed to detect only humans, making false alerts extremely rare. If the siren does go off unexpectedly, the system automatically returns to standby mode after the set siren duration, until motion is detected again.
Which product is most commonly chosen as an add-on to the displayed packages?
Besides additional motion detectors, smoke detectors are a popular add-on. Since July 2022, a smoke detector is mandatory on every floor of a home. With a linked smoke detector, you receive an immediate notification on your smartphone and a photo to verify smoke development. The outdoor siren also alerts the surroundings.
What is the best alarm system brand in 2025?
We exclusively work with Hikvision, the world’s largest security manufacturer and, in our opinion, the best brand currently available.
What’s the difference between indoor detection and outdoor detection?
Indoor detection: detects movement inside the home. This means a burglar must already be inside before the alarm goes off.
Outdoor detection: detects a break-in attempt before the burglar gets inside, such as when entering the garden or approaching windows and doors. This prevents damage and panic.
Can I link the alarm system to smart home devices?
Yes, the Hikvision AX PRO system can be connected to smart home solutions, such as smart lighting and automatic shutters, to make your home even safer and more user-friendly.
What happens if someone tries to sabotage the alarm system?
The system has tamper detection, meaning you’ll receive an immediate notification if someone tries to remove a sensor or damage the central unit.
What are the actual costs of an alarm system with a control room?
An alarm system with a control room costs an average of €50 to €150 per month, depending on the provider. Over 5 years, this amounts to between €3,000 and €9,000, while the alarm system itself is often worth only €600.
Are there hidden costs with subscription-free alarm systems?
No, with us, you pay once for the products and installation. There are no hidden costs or obligations after purchase.
Why is a Hikvision AX PRO cheaper in the long run?
With us, you only pay once for the system, while a subscription-based alarm system can cost thousands of euros over 5 to 10 years.
Can I pay in installments?
No, we work with a one-time payment without hidden costs. This ensures you’re not tied to long-term obligations.

💰 Prices & Quotes

How much does an alarm for my home cost?
This depends on your preferences, such as indoor or outdoor detection. A basic installation starts at €399 (excluding VAT) including installation, securing the most important areas. The system can, of course, be expanded as desired. Feel free to contact us for all options.
How much are the installation costs?
All displayed prices include installation throughout southeast Spain. We use one fixed price, with no surprises afterward.
How much does a complete outdoor detection system cost?
This depends on your needs and the size of the property. On average, the costs for outdoor detection combined with cameras range between €2,000 and €3,000 for a detached villa, but it can be as extensive or simple as you want.
Received a cheaper quote elsewhere, is that possible?
That’s possible if you’re comparing it to a system with monthly costs. Keep in mind that subscription-based providers are often easily sabotaged with a jammer and thus always offer insufficient protection. Plus, you’ll face higher costs in the long run.
You have a specific budget you’d like to spend on securing your home?
Let us know, and our specialists will provide the best advice within your budget. We offer solutions in various price ranges, so there’s always a suitable system.
Are there monthly costs?
Our alarm systems always operate without monthly costs. No subscription is required.

🔧 Service & Maintenance

How long is the warranty on the system?
You get a standard 2-year warranty. During the warranty period, we fix any defects on-site free of charge. After this period, home visits may incur an hourly rate.
What happens if my alarm goes off falsely?
You’ll receive an immediate notification on your phone. False alarms are usually traceable to a parasol or cloth in the wind. The system automatically returns to standby mode after the set siren duration, until new motion is detected.
Can I expand my system?
Yes, our system is modular. You can always add extra sensors, cameras, or other security modules.
What’s the lifespan of the batteries in the detectors?
The batteries last an average of 5 to 7 years. The type is CR123A, which you can easily replace yourself. We recommend Duracell for a longer lifespan.
Can I add extra components after installation?
Yes, our system is modular. You can add extra cameras, sensors, or remote controls at any time without needing a new central unit.
Can I take my alarm system with me if I move?
Yes, the system can be easily dismantled and reinstalled in your new home. This is a major advantage over subscription-based systems, which become unusable upon termination.
What should I do if a sensor isn’t working properly?
You can contact us for a free remote diagnosis. If necessary, we can send a technician to resolve the issue.

🔒 Security & Privacy

Is my alarm system hack-proof?
Our systems use encrypted connections and secure frequencies to minimize hacking attempts. Unlike some competitors, we’re not vulnerable to jamming.
Are my camera images stored somewhere?
This depends on your settings. You can store images locally on an SD card or in a secure cloud environment. You retain control over who has access to the footage.
Does the alarm system also protect against squatters?
In Spain, you have 24 to 48 hours to involve the police regarding squatters. Our systems immediately report any break-in or attempt to enter, allowing you to act quickly and call the police. This prevents squatters from permanently settling in your home.
How do I know if my alarm is functioning correctly?
The system performs automatic self-tests and alerts you via the app if there’s an issue, such as a low battery or connectivity problem.
Can my neighbors hear the siren during an alarm?
Yes, the outdoor siren is powerful and ensures that neighbors are alerted during an alarm.
What happens if a burglar uses a signal disruptor (jammer)?
Many alarm systems with a control room have no protection against jamming. Our Hikvision AX PRO system has built-in jamming detection and immediately switches to an alternative signal during a jamming attempt.

☎️ Control Room & Police

Isn’t a control room better than calling the police myself?
Many people think a control room always contacts the police immediately. In reality, the control room must first call you and get your confirmation. If you miss the call, nothing happens. In Spain, the police also prioritize reports made directly by the homeowner.
Can the system be connected to a control room?
It’s technically possible, but we usually advise against it. Control rooms aren’t directly linked to the police and call the owner first during an alert. This takes time, and if you don’t answer, they won’t call the police.
Many alarm system providers claim their system is linked to police services. Is that true?
This is often misleading. No private alarm system is directly connected to the police. The ACM has even reprimanded providers for using misleading images of police control rooms in advertising.
Many salespeople claim the police won’t respond unless you have a contract with a private control room. Is this true?
No, that’s fearmongering. The police respond faster to a direct report from the homeowner. Reports via a control room often get lower priority, especially if the owner can’t be reached.
My insurance requires a control room, what should I do?
Consider a different insurer. If a burglar sabotages your system with a jammer, no alert reaches the control room, and it may seem like your system was off. The insurance might then deny coverage. An insurer without a mandatory control room requirement is often a safer choice.
Can the police directly monitor my alarm system?
No, private alarm systems cannot be directly linked to the police. This is a common misconception used by some salespeople as a marketing trick.
Why do control rooms sometimes respond slowly?
Control rooms must first call to verify if an alarm is genuine, which can waste valuable minutes. With our system, you receive an instant alert and can decide if action is needed.
Do I need a control room for my insurance?
No, many insurers don’t require a control room. Some try to impose this as a condition, but it offers no added benefits and can even be a disadvantage if a burglar uses a jammer and no alert comes through.

⚖️ Disclaimer & Legal Information

Does an alarm system provide a 100% guarantee against burglary or squatters?
While we strive for optimal security, we cannot guarantee that our systems will prevent every burglary, squatting incident, or other unauthorized entry under all circumstances. The owner/user remains responsible for the proper use of the alarm system and for responding to alerts in a timely manner. We are not liable for any damage resulting from the use or (incorrect) functioning of the alarm system.
What should I know about privacy laws when using cameras?
When using cameras, you must comply with local privacy laws (such as the GDPR). It’s the owner/user’s responsibility to check if camera surveillance is permitted and to avoid unintentionally filming public areas or third-party properties without consent.
Are there sound or environmental regulations for my outdoor siren?
Yes, some municipalities or regions may have rules regarding maximum noise levels or siren duration. The owner/user is responsible for complying with these regulations and verifying whether an outdoor siren is allowed in their area.
Do I need to periodically check or maintain the alarm system?
We recommend periodically testing your alarm system and replacing batteries on time. Negligent maintenance or failure to replace batteries promptly can affect the system’s performance. The owner/user remains responsible for this.
What should I know about insurance conditions and control room requirements?
Some insurers impose specific requirements for alarm systems or a control room. We accept no liability if your insurance refuses payout due to (alleged) shortcomings in or absence of control room services. It’s always wise to review your policy conditions and consider a different insurer if needed.
Which insurers don’t require a control room?
Besides Catalana Occidente, there are several insurers in Spain that don’t mandate a control room. We advise clients to compare multiple quotes.
How can I prove my alarm system meets all legal requirements?
The Hikvision AX PRO alarm system is certified to the EN 50131 Grade 2 standard, meaning it meets European home security requirements. You can present this certification to your insurer.
